By no means a wine connoisseur, all I had to go by was my eager taste buds. Not before I gave it a quick nose to look "professional" though, in front of my bewildered wife ;)

Joking aside though, this wine really did surprise me for it's price. Picked up on special at Sainsburys for a mere £4.99, I was expecting a lot worse. It had hints (to my uncomplicated buds) of cinnamon, dark fruits, and another flavour I can't quite place. The closest would be caramel. All this without being too complicated and detailed.

It went down well with the red meat, but just as easily could have been enjoyed on it's own.

I'd recommend it to anyone.
