Height The stems are 10-30 cm long.
Description - colour or perfume lavender-blue flowers are pleasantly and usually strongly scented.
Flowering & fruiting period April - May
Any other description or detail The stems bend over at the top. Individual flowers are borne on one side of the flowering stem only. Pollination is by insects, including bees.
English bluebells are under threat from the Spanish bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica)

I thought .....
...... I was going to miss these this year as we were away - luckily, for us, Spring was late ...... they grow on the cliff top here ...... loverly!

'White Tigress' the most beautiful and undoubtedly the most scarce of all the snakebark maples, this is a 'must have' acer. Shame I don't get commission.
