I only told you to blow...........
This was the best rip-roaring boy's-own adventure story where nigh on every person who saw it wanted the naughty boys to win. Probably the best car chase ever put on film and as for the (literally) cliff-hanger ending and Michael Caine's "Hang on boys I've got a good idea!" or words to that effect........ Does anyone know why a sequel was never made? Not that I'm name dropping or anything but he still does owe me two Disque Bleu! Not many people know that!!!!!

Me too. I won't get in the bath without a shark net around the deep end! >:^,

You've got to hear the whole quote. The story about USS Indianapolis is true...
OrangePeel 07:52:54 | 18 Dec 2010
Since seeing this film, I have never liked swimming anywhere where I can't see the bottom......

A great loss

Leslie Nielsen - a sad loss. RIP

He just managed to get away without sounding corny on this line... gripping stuff!

Remember agonising over which was the right thing for him to do and being scared he would make the wrong decision - not knowing what was the right one!

The carpe'd mala are on their way from the country to the seaside, the well travelled, overgrown courgette, too!
Gladys 13:20:12 | 11 Oct 2010
Sorry - that's grovelling!
Gladys 10:36:11 | 10 Oct 2010
You are so right! Respect - innit!

Carped the Bramley - twice!
Gladys 10:33:13 | 10 Oct 2010
Don't think it's on the list.
Gladys 10:26:37 | 10 Oct 2010
Thought so too, but wasn't certain. That was the first JB film I ever saw and nothing, but nothing, beats the shot of Ursula Andress walking up the beach and Sean Connery's voice.
Gladys 10:26:15 | 10 Oct 2010
You are such a card little Spiny! I do like you!
Gladys 09:51:40 | 10 Oct 2010
I believe it to be as inspired as any of the Peter Cook escalating lunacy monologues - the highest praise that I can give.
andrewgoulding 08:47:50 | 10 Oct 2010
hahahaha... not exactly a one-liner, but absolutely hilarious :-))))
DJ 08:30:43 | 10 Oct 2010
Yep, brilliant script, compulsive viewing, Uma Thurman. Even Brucey was ok.. I think another viewing is in order, so I can jot down some of the one-liners :-)
DJ 08:29:31 | 10 Oct 2010
I think somehow I've managed to miss this one... must hunt it out!
DJ 08:28:07 | 10 Oct 2010
Dr. No I believe... is it on the list??
DJ 08:26:34 | 10 Oct 2010
I think a Sunday night screening is definitely in order... >:^D
Spiny Norman 08:24:06 | 10 Oct 2010
"carpe diem" - "sieze the apple"!
Spiny Norman 08:11:27 | 10 Oct 2010
Not sure.. hard to say if anyone has ever been on the same page as Daddy P... >x^p
Spiny Norman 08:09:58 | 10 Oct 2010
Except, of course, when actually in the company of your actual, bona fide, messiah...
DJ 08:07:16 | 10 Oct 2010
Wonderful, wonderful Sir John Gielgud using his cut- glass dismissive tone but really caring for the mess that was Dudley.

I just had another one of those moments! Yesterday, walking round the orchard I spotted the biggest, waxiest red apple. but left it. To-day, when I had re-thought the situation, it had gone!
Gladys 16:30:34 | 9 Oct 2010
Oops! There goes another one!
Gladys 12:14:41 | 9 Oct 2010
Erm? Is this on the correct page?
